A 100% complete 1966 Series V GT for restoration. This was a South Africa imported back to the UK around 1986 and subject to a restoration around that time. I’ve owned the car since 1990 and it was my daily driver for many years. It has been parked up for ten years since I went abroad. I had intended to restore it but I no longer have the space. It comes with stainless exhaust and a hard top which needs the usual repairs. There’s also a removable soft top frame. I have everything to do a full convertible conversation which I will sell separately. £4995 or close offer

1962 Sunbeam Alpine Series ll

BPR 578A underwent a full nut and bolt restoration in 2011 with a replacement Series II engine, series V gearbox and overdrive. Added value comes with an oil cooler, brake servo, Webcon twin choke carb and swept intake manifold, electronic ignition, and a double duck hood.

The ultra-rare dashboard comes from a Sunbeam Harrington Le Mans, and this may be the only non-Harrington Alpine with this upgrade in the world. Resprayed in Cardinal Red, the car was originally Moonstone white. BPR comes equipped with an original factory boot rack, Rootes spotlights, toolkit, a full tonneau cover, and rides on silver painted wires that are in excellent condition. I will also include a soft, high-quality indoor car cover with Sunbeam logo, and custom-made wing protectors for when you check the fluids.

BPR has spent the last several years living in a dry, heated garage, only coming out when the sun shines. This is a California car, first registered in San Diego. Copies of the pink slips are in the huge history file, along with every receipt, heritage certificate, and photos of the rebuild.

The car featured in Oct 2012 Practical Classics, front cover of Alpine Horn Dec 2023, and the Sunbeam Alpine Channel Essential Buyer’s Guide (YouTube). The car achieved first place in Series 2 concours at the SAOC National, 2012, and first in Best Amateur Restoration in the same year. More recently, Derek Matthewson (Bangers and Cash) voted BPR third at SAOC National 2023.

The car is in beautiful condition inside and out, top and bottom, with no corrosion, and has never been welded. Reliability has been flawless, having completed a trip to the Le Mans Classic in 2023.
