The dinner is now fully booked, but alternative dining arrangements are available on site
Venue: The Priest House hotel and restaurant in the hamlet of Kings Mills about a mile away from Castle Donington and easily accessible from the M1, A50 and A42 / M42.
Accommodation at the hotel has been fully booked for a while, however there are plenty of other local hotels available within a 5-mile radius. Camping and motorhomes/caravans can be accommodated in the grounds of the hotel and adjacent to the river Trent, which can be secured using the Booking form.
To attend the event please complete the attached Booking Form. Booking as soon as you can helps us prepare for the event and gives us a better idea on attendance and the budget that we can spend on little extras.
Please use the entrance signposted SAOC and showing the clubs feather flags.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us but if not, we have it covered with the use of the Priest House hospitality rooms and a large Tee Pee Marquee tent.
The itinerary is:
Friday 16th Aug. Setting up and early bird arrivals in the afternoon and evening. There is a Buffet and Pub Quiz bookable on the form and Live Music. Food will also be available in the Hotel Restaurant and for people wishing to eat al fresco there will be a bring your own food BBQ option (Available Fri, Sat and Sun).
Saturday 17th Aug. Breakfast will be available via the restaurant. There will be the usual Concours and best in show awards, and a Drive-Out around South Derbyshire. In the afternoon there will be some Presentations and Technical Q&A. In the evening there will be the Dinner (Now fully booked), followed by the Prize Giving at approx. 9.30pm and then a Disco which everybody is welcome to attend.
There are alternative dining arrangements available on site, which many of the attendees have opted for, as opposed to the Dinner: The Hotel's Millstream Brasserie/Bar is open for meals: Lunch Served Sat: 12:00pm - 3:00pm, Dinner Served Daily: 6.00pm - 8.45pm, Sunday Lunch: 12:00pm - 4:00pm.
Also we will have a couple of BBQ's by the Teepee Marquee for those who would like to prepare their own food and there is plenty of seating and some appropriate motoring themed music there too.
Sunday 18th Aug. The AGM will be held on Sunday morning followed by a drive out to the Great British Car Journey exhibition in Ambergate (Entry is now included as part of your booking fee). Food will be available at the exhibition. The rest of the day will be casual giving an opportunity to spend time in great company, food will again be available via the restaurant or bring your own food BBQ option. Farewell and dismantle.
Monday 19th Aug. No planned events but a gentle farewell and further dismantling.
