3 metres of 21mm wide rubber seal from Ebay,
including the plastic "chrome" sealing strip. Cut slightly
oversize when fitting to the car and force it in to fight any
shrinkage. I had to cut the old seal out as it was brittle. |

 |
Place the glass over the new seal and sit it
in the lower channel as best possible. Then use plastic trim
levers to gradually lift and tease the rubber over the glass,
working from the bottom, up the sides and across the top. Don't
use metal screwdrivers or it can tear the rubber. Difficulty=7/10 |

 |
Using the special insertion tool (bent to the
correct width to allow the chrome to pass but still not too wide
to fit the rubber gap) push the chrome strip in as you move the
tool along. Do it slowly and maintain pressure. Best done in
one continuous sequence. Difficulty=11/10!! |
Hints:
- Use soap to lubricate the rubber.
- Don't be afraid to pull the chrome out and start all over
again if it pops out (easier than correcting sections later)
- Spend extra care at the corners as the tool and chrome will
struggle to make the turn successfully.
- Persevere!
- Good Luck!
